Data Deletion Instructions

ChinaTravel.WIKI lets members request deletion of their account and associated personal profile information. This page applies to accounts created with email, Google, Facebook or X sign-in.

Delete your account in the site

1. Sign in to your ChinaTravel.WIKI account.
2. Open User Center and select Account settings.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm the request.

Your public profile is hidden immediately and your active session is ended.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, email contact@chinatravel.wiki from the email address associated with your account. Include the subject line “Data deletion request”. We may ask for limited information needed to verify ownership before processing the request.

What is deleted or retained

We delete or de-identify account profile information and stop using the account for sign-in. Community posts and replies may remain visible as content attributed to a deleted member, so that discussions do not lose context; they are no longer linked to a public profile. We may retain a minimal record where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or resolving disputes.

Confirmation

We will confirm the outcome by email when a request is completed. If you signed in with Facebook or X, deleting your ChinaTravel.WIKI account does not delete your Facebook or X account; those accounts are managed directly by Meta and X.
