Alipay tour card vs linked credit card for tourists

Does anyone know the specific differences between these two in terms of exact fees or convenience? I am a bit confused.

I recommend directly linking your credit card, as it is currently the most cost-effective and convenient method. Generally, transactions under 200 RMB are fee-free. In contrast, the Tour Card can charge a 5% processing fee during top-ups and may incur exchange-rate losses, not to mention a more cumbersome application process.

Once your credit card is linked, set up international-transaction notifications with your issuing bank so it does not mistake QR-code payments in China for fraud and decline them. For purchases over 200 RMB, some tourists ask vendors to split the bill into smaller transactions to avoid the 3% processing fee.
