Help — what is the best way to commute on my route?
A honeymoon couple planning Beijing, Chengdu, Zhangjiajie, Yangshuo and Shanghai asks for a sensible route and transport logic.
I'm planning a full-month honeymoon in November across Beijing, Chengdu, Zhangjiajie, Yangshuo and Shanghai.
What is the best order and way to travel between them? How is it possible that Zhangjiajie–Guilin is shown as 7 hours when Zhangjiajie → Chengdu → Guilin is shown as 9 hours?

Start by locking in your international arrival and departure cities. If you fly into Beijing and leave from Shanghai, a logical broad direction is Beijing → Zhangjiajie → Chengdu → Yangshuo → Shanghai, though actual flight and rail connections may justify switching the Chengdu and Zhangjiajie order.
For a month, avoid treating every transfer as a simple station-to-station number. A quoted seven-hour route may use a direct connection, while the longer route can include waiting time, a detour, airport transfers or a different mode. Compare door-to-door travel time, not just train duration.
