Chengdu itinerary: 13 days with family
We are travelling with our three young children (1, 3 and 5) to Chengdu in October. We plan to take it very slow and would appreciate input on the itinerary, particularly whether a Dujiangyan–Jiuzhaigou same-day transfer makes sense.
Days 1–3: Evening flight from Singapore into Chengdu; stay in the Taikoo Li area.
Days 4–5: Dujiangyan, panda base and old town.
Day 6: Transfer from Dujiangyan–Xipu/Chengdu East to Jiuzhaigou by high-speed rail, then transfer to our Jiuzhaigou hotel (Nine Peaks).
Days 7–8: Jiuzhaigou.
Day 9: Jiuzhaigou–Chengdu (should we stay near Taikoo Li again?).
Days 10–13: Chengdu and flight out to Singapore.
How much lead time would one need to transit through the rail stations? I read there are bag checks. Would business-class tickets make things more comfortable or smooth? We speak fluent Mandarin if that helps. Thank you!
