First trip to China to Zhangjiajie, Chongqing and Chengdu

Hi all, I will be travelling to China for the first time with my partner during November. Flying into Zhangjiajie, stopping over at Chongqing and ending my trip with Chengdu in the space of 12 days.

We like to explore new cultures, try new foods and learn the history. Does anyone have a good itinerary/ stops to checkout based on these three cities and how long to stay in each one.

First of all, China is a huge country, and the three places you mentioned are all worth visiting—but they only cover a small part of the central and western regions. What I mean is, you should definitely explore more places, like Hangzhou and Shanghai. Traveling across such a wide range of regions will give you a much better sense of the diverse local cultures and customs. And you have more than enough time for that.
