How much time should I allow for a domestic flight connection in China?
I am booking two domestic flights on separate tickets and will check a bag. What connection time would feel comfortable at a large airport, and is a high-speed train often a better alternative for medium-distance routes?

With separate tickets and checked luggage, choose a generous buffer. You are responsible for collecting the bag and checking in again if the first flight is delayed.

For many city pairs, rail is calmer and puts you in the city centre. Compare door-to-door time, not only the flight duration.
