I'm new, can you help me giving me some advices?

I want to go to China with some friends, and we do not know if it is better to organise our trip on our own, or if it is better to contact a travel agency.

I contacted chinatravelseducation.com and already received an itinerary. One of their members has contacted me, but I am wondering if it is a scam. Have you ever tried it? Can I continue with it, or should I look for something else?

Thank you in advance.

The chance of running into scammers is pretty low. At worst, you might end up spending a bit more or a bit less money. I would rather recommend you plan the trip on your own. Pick a few Chinese cities that genuinely interest you. Even using AI to draft your itinerary will get you most of the way there.

Admittedly, unfamiliar surroundings can easily make you feel unsafe, and having a guide along definitely gives you more peace of mind. But China is extremely safe, so you can go for it without too much worry. Just install essential apps for translation, payment and maps, and grab an eSIM. With those sorted, you will barely run into any issues getting around China.
