Does Nomad eSIM work with US apps like X and Google Maps in China? Anyone used it recently?

Nomad eSIM works completely fine. However, once you arrive in China, I would not recommend using Google Maps — not because of connection issues, but because it is not accurate or practical in China.

Download AMAP (GaoDe Maps) instead. It is one of the most popular navigation apps in China. Beyond turn-by-turn directions, you can also use it to hail rides. Since it links directly with Alipay, paying for taxis is seamless and convenient.
