What should I prepare in case my overseas card fails in Alipay?
I plan to verify Alipay and link an overseas card before travelling. If the card is declined in China, what backups actually make sense: a second card, WeChat Pay, cash, or something else?

Setting up both Alipay and WeChat Pay gives you redundancy, but do not leave this until the airport. Make sure your bank knows that you will be travelling.

Bring two cards from different networks if you can. Verify the payment app before travel, but carry the physical cards and a modest cash reserve as well.
