Zhangjiajie itinerary – hotel change + Furong Town?

Sep 21: Grand Canyon + Glass Bridge → change hotel to Zhangjiajie city
Sep 22: Tianmen Mountain → flight at 23:25
Is changing hotels on Sep 21 worth it near tianmen mountain, or should we stay in Wulingyuan?
We’d also love to visit Furong Town, preferably in the evening when it’s lit up. Could we realistically fit it in somewhere, or would the itinerary become too rushed?

I'd actually recommend using downtown Zhangjiajie as your base for the whole trip:
- Lower costs: Hotels are generally cheaper.
- Nightlife/Dining: Easy to find late-night bites and local restaurants.
- Less hassle: Everything is relatively close, and transport via local buses or DiDi is straightforward.
A quick note on your itinerary: I wasn't sure which “Grand Canyon” you listed. If it's Enshi Grand Canyon in Hubei, swapping it out for Furong Town would be a much better option. The round trip to Enshi takes around 10 hours, which eats up way too much travel time. Furong Town keeps things much smoother.
