How strict is the hotel foreigner registration rule?
Will hotels report me if I skip registration?, I’m staying with a friend instead of booking hotels. Heard foreigners need to register within 24 hours. What happens if I ignore this rule?

Rule is taken seriously, you could get fined if you don’t register on time.

If you stay at private housing, you need to go to police station to register yourself.
